Student Benchmark Tool

This tool was designed to better standardize typical student progress, reduce missed opportunities to intervene and modify teaching approaches, and better inform both students and fieldwork schools on what specific skills still need improvement. 

 

Fieldwork educators (FWE) are to utilize this tool as a week-by-week guideline describing typical student progression while on fieldwork. This document is intended to be a guideline outlining typical student benchmarks; however, these benchmarks are subject to change based on student experience and are intended to be used as an estimate of typical student progression.

Directions: Fieldwork educators should refer to this document weekly to better track student progress, implement modifications to learning/teaching strategies as necessary, and collaborate with student coordinators when learning benchmarks are not met as anticipated.
