Using this tool can help you: 

• Get to know your student in a personal and academic context

• Establish communication and learning preferences

• Foster a foundation for psychological safety

​Directions: During your student's first week during fieldwork, have them complete these documents. Afterwards, sit down with your student, review each section together, ask questions as appropriate, and use this as an opportunity to learn more about your student.

 

You will be teaching this student for the next 12 weeks, so it is helpful to foster a relationship that is built on trust, respect, and understanding from the start.
